DIY Home Theater Throw Pillows

Buying throw pillows with a movie theme image can be a bit expensive. With some drawing skills, fabric paint and a throw pillow you can give an extra touch to your entertaining center.

Even if you're not an experienced artist, you can make and use a stencil.

If you have acrylic craft paint, mix it with a medium for fabrics.

Small 4D Home Cinema

I have always wanted a home cinema, but I live in a small apartment and the available room was only 12' x 10' with a 8' x 2.5' closet. After planing and searching for a while, I came up with a nice, simple and cool room for the whole family and friends.

I kept things simple, but yet, added several posters, paintings, 3D projector and added bass shakers to the seating areas for the 4D upgrade.

I eliminated the closet and made an horizontal storage seat, adding more than two extra feet of room area.

I also painted movie icons on several throw pillows.

And for those who always end up on the floor, a couple of floor pillows and an area rug.

I didn't expect for it to be as exciting and popular as it turned out. The bass shaker (makes the seats vibrate according to the movie's action), the 3D sound and video, and the capability of having up to 15 people watching a movie in such a small room turned out to be great.

Steps for Repairing Aquarium Stand

The 60gal tank had a black stand that was damaged when occasionally getting wet during water changes.

As seen, the panels are not real wood.

I glued and clamped the damaged areas with waterproof wood glue.

The bottom was reinforced with treated 2 x 4s. 1 x 3s were added to the sides to help with the new design and with the weight.

The doors were removed and everything was sanded, primed and painted. The primer is for laminated furniture. Before each application of the primer and paint, the previous application was completely dryed.
